KWAHU SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY PRESENTS WORKING TOOLS TO PWDs

The Kwahu South District Assembly has again presented various items to Persons with Disability (PWDs) in the District to equip them to become self-sufficient and contribute meaningfully towards nation building.

The items presented included deep freezers, stabilizers, sewing machines, hair dryers, sachets of water, among others.

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries, Hon. Emmanuel Atta Ofori, District Chief Executive, advised them to use the items for the purposes for which they had been provided.

The move by the Assembly, according to the Chairperson of the Disability Fund Management Committee, Hon. Grace Agyepong, was part of the Assembly’s attempt to break the barriers of stigmatisation and discrimination against PWDs and to empower them to be financially and economically independent.

The beneficiaries were excited and thankful to the District Assembly for the gesture.
