UE/R Talensi District received a team of officers from Synohydro Cooperation Ltd, Northern Development Authority (NDA) and Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) to initiate processes for the construction of the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam.

The DCE for Talensi District in the upper east region, Hon Christopher Boatbil (PhD) on 9-012019 received a team of officers from Synohydro Cooperation Ltd, Northern Development Authority (NDA) and Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) at the District Assembly.

The team was in the District to initiate processes for the construction of the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam.

The project, according to the District Chief Executive, will first of all eliminate the bad effects of perennial floods on the people in the district.

It will also lead to improvements in the lives of the people through job creation and provision of portable water among others.

The people of the Talensi District thank the President of Ghana, Nana Addo, for this bold initiative that will end their long periods of suffering.
