U/E UPPER EAST REGIONAL MINISTER DONATES CLUTCHES TO THREE HOSPITALS


The Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Paulina Patience Abayage has donated thirty (30) pairs of clutches to three hospitals in the Upper East Region at a short ceremony yesterday.

Ten was presented to War Memorial Hospital in Navrongo, another ten to the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital while the remaining ten will also be donated to the Bawku Presbyterian Hospital in Bawku at a later date.

Presenting the clutches at the Regional Hospital, Hon. Abayage said this was a kind gesture from a friend of hers in Italy,

Mr. Salvatore De Fazio, Ghana’s honorary consul to Torino-Italy.

She was hopeful that the items would go a long way to help the hospital in providing a special care for those in need of them.

Dr. Samuel Aborah, the Ag. Medical Director of the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital who received the clutches on behalf of the hospital thanked the Minister for her kind gesture.

He said the clutches were mostly needed at the physiotherapy unit of the hospital to help patients who are going through certain therapeutic exercises to accelerate their recovery processes.

At the Navrongo Hospital the Hon. Minister visited the children’s ward which she help renovated with some of her friends.

The Hospital Accountant who received the items on behalf of the Medical Director expressed his profound gratitude to the Hon. Minister for her kind gesture.

He said the clutches were mostly needed at the physiotherapy unit of the hospital to help patients who are going through certain therapeutic exercises to accelerate their recovery processes.

The Hon. Minister admonished the staff of the hospital to take good care of the items and make it available for it to be used by their clients who would need them.

She added that some should also be placed at the wards to help others who cannot afford to purchase them.
