N/R Gonjaland will get it's share through me-Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor Deputy Chief of staff
The Deputy Chief of staff Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor has said that the NPP government is working around the clock to find a lasting solution to the Damongo water crises.
Speaking at the Yagbon grand Damba 2018 at the forecourt of the Jakpa Palace in Damongo on 25th November 2018, the Deputy Chief of staff Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor who represented the president of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu as the special guest of honour said the president sends his appreciation to Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa (I) king and overlord of the Gonja Kingdom who doubles as the president of the Northern Regional House of Chiefs and Otumfour Osei Tutu II king of the Ashanti kingdom for facilitating peace in Dagbong.
Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor pleaded with the youth of Gonjaland to take their culture and tradition serious and that if you know your culture, you know where you come from.
Lawyer Abu Jinapor added that the Ashantis are progressing because they respect their culture and tradition.
He said Gonjaland has a vast land area than any region in Ghana yet still lagging behind.
On the Damongo water crises, Lawyer Abu Jinapor said during the election period the Yagbonwura complained about the Damongo water crises and even the Chief linguist of the Yagbonwura Alhaji Afuli Losina also spoke to he and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu Addo about tge same Damongo water crises the last time they visited the Jakpa Palace and by the grace of God the Damongo water crises will be a thing of the past Lawyer Jinapor assured.
He said “Jira, due to your endless prayers and that of the skins of Ndewura Jakpa, your grand son (Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor) has also been considered an appointment by the President at the presidency and when you take out the President of the Republic of Ghana and other powerful persons, I think I might be fourth in command so, I would ensure that, Damongo Water crisis becomes a thing of the past…”
He said president Akufu Addo wants all the villages in the West Gonja District to benefit from the water project and so the water will not be tapped from the black Volta in Buipe again but rather the white Volta in Yapei which the MP for Damongo constituency Hon. Adam Mutawakilu is aware.
The Deputy Chief of staff has also said that even though president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu Addo is not a Gonja, but he has Gonjaland at heart and wants to develop Gonjaland and so they will construct a cassava processing factory in Busunu adding that Yagbonwura Aliandengi spoke about the need for the creation of a new region out of Northern Region when former president Flight Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlins was president, Yagbonwura Doshi also spoke about same and so 27th December 2018 presents an opportunity for Gonjalanders to decide and he is optimistic that Savannah Region will get a 99% YES vote.
The Deputy Chief of staff Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor pleaded with Gonjalanders to remain United and should not allow politics divide them. He said NDC constructed the Fufulso-Damongo-Sawla road and both NDC and NPP or any other party are benefiting from it likewise when the NPP government gives the people of Damongo water, it’s going to benefit everyone.
