N/R DCE for Central Gonja district paid a working visit to some Government
The DCE for Central Gonja district in the northern region , Mustapha Mahama,Yesterday paid a working visit to some Government institutions and agencies within his district to familiarize and acquaint himself with up to speed information on their activities and welfare.
His first point of call was at the Buipe Girls Model JHS where he interacted with staff and students of the school.
The girls model school was one of the DCEs promises made during first ordinary assembly address last year and subsequently established this year with 33 students.
He assured students of the assembler’s commitment to ensure smooth academic work.
The pupils were advised to lead a decent and disciplined life to serve as role models to their peers.
The DCE’s tour also took him to the Buipe Polyclinic to asses the needs of the facility and how health delivery was going on.
He took the opportunity to find how the medical equipment and instruments he donated to equip the theatre were put to use.
The medical director of the facility; Dr Naizer, expressed his happiness with the DCE’s visit. They discussed matters of concern to the facility and the way forward.
Next on the agenda was a call at the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport company (BOST) where he met with management.
That was the second time visiting the facility since he assumed office sometime last year.
He admonished them to continue to take matters of safety serious to prevent accidents and thus protect life and property.
Management was excited about his visit, and assured they shall continue to work hard for the development of the nation.
In rounding up his tour, the DCE took to the building site of the circuit court and the one district one warehouse building to inspect progress of work.
He was impressed with progress of work so far and urged the contractors to do quality work.
