V/R member of parliament for krachi Nchumuru constituency commission fully finished nurses quarters at jato chayo.
The member of parliament for krachi Nchumuru constituency in the Volta region, hon John majisi yesterday handed over a fully finished Community nurses quarters for the Chiefs and people of jato chayo and the Ghana Health service in the district.
The facility was built to improve accommodation and to attract nurses to the area.
In a short ceremony attended by the District Assembly,
District Health Directorate as well as the Chiefs and people of jato chayo.
Hon. Majisi admonished the people and the nurse to take the facility as their own and keep it in good shape.
He said the people of jato chayo have always craved for a nurse quarters so they should ensure that they make good use of the facility.
He said the facility was a gift from him to help the nurse at jato chayo to deliver accessible and quality Basic primary Health Needs of the people of jato chayo and other closed by Communities.
He appealed to the people of jato chayo to help maintain the facility for the benefit of future generations.
Hon majisi also noted that a lot of developmental projects are yet to be commission.
The MP called on the communities to create a peaceful environment for the nurse who would occupy the quarters.
He reminded whoever would occupy the quarters to “owe it as a responsibility to be on twenty-four hour call service to the community”.
The health Directorate said the facility will be use for the purpose why it was provided and also keep maintenance on it.
The chief of the Area thanked the Mp for putting up the facility and pledged the community’s co-operation in maintaining a good relationship with the nurses.
