N/R DCE OF TOLON URGED HER PEOPLE TO TAKE OPEN DEFECATION FREE AS THEIR NEW YEAR RESOLUTION.
The District Chief Executive for Tolon in the Northern Region, Honourable Balikisu Yakubu has call on the people in his District to fight against OPEN DEFECATION.
She said they should stop what they was doing in the previous years and use the new year , which is 2019 to fight open defection to its highest minimum.
She made the statement through an interview on a local radio station called Radio Grin (94.7 MHz ),UDS Nyankpala Campusin in the northern Region.
“Open defecation is one of the major problems we are facing in our District, I will therefore use this as an opportunity to appeal to the lovely people in the District to avoid the act, by making sure that every house gets a toilet “.
She did mention that, everyone uses it as his/her new year resolution. “I would like to add that everyone uses OPEN DEFECATION FREE as the new year resolution “.
Madam Balikisu also asked the people to remain calm but pray for His Excellency Nana Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s Government to continue its good works.
She said that 2019 is going to be an action and a good year.
The DCE concluded by praying to the Almighty Allah to sustain peace in Dagbon ,and Ghana as a country.
