MY CHILDREN SLEEP ON FLOOR DURING SCHOOL HOURS TO LEARN,SOME ALSO LEARN UNDER TREE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, CHIEF CRAYS FOR HELP*
The Odikro of Assin Tabil and Krofoum all in the Assin South constituency Nana Ogyeaman Kwame Nyarko I has said that,his Children sleep on floor to learn and some also study under tree to learn during school hours as a result of inadequate classrooms in Assin Tabil Basic School.
Students in the rural areas write the same exams with those in the urban centers but it seems the government has neglected those in the rural areas.
School shutdown anytime it rains,because there are not enough classrooms for them,henceforth, all the classrooms are in deplorable state and in dangerous state so I will plead to the DCE in the Assin South Hon.Ambrose Owusu and Nana Akuffo Addo to come into our aid.
They always feel sad when they visit the Teachers in the school during instruction hours especially those who schooled under trees,and they don’t think it promote their educational system in my area,many children in the nearby villages schooled in Assin Tabil here but we are having inadequate classroom rooms he added.
There are also shortage of classroom desk due to that,four students shares one desk and I don’t think it will promote teaching and Learning effectively and at the end of the year they write the same exams with those having enough facilities in the urban centers so I will pleads to the government to come and support Assin Tabil Basic School he disclosed.
In an interview with reporters the Assin Tabil Unit community Secretary Abusuapayin Wofa Yaw Atta also added that, all his road networks are very poor, especially road leaving from Assin Manso to Ajumako and it seems the government has rejected us interms of development.
People in the community turned into frog when it rains,because we float on water due to the poor state of the road.
The community of about 5000 population depends on only two boreholes of which has been spoilt passes 3 years now and we are not using them again due to the situation the entire community depends on the school’s borehole and their toilet facility which is not appropriate so we will plead to the government to come into our aid.
They are thinking of how they will survive as they are entering harmattan season because all their rivers they depends may dry away by the harmattan haze so they are appealing to the government to visit them.
