District Chief Executive for Central Gonja has urged all stakeholders in the district to contribute their quota towards the creation of the proposed Savannah region.

The District Chief Executive for Central Gonja Hon. Mustapha Mahama has urged all stakeholders in the district to contribute their quota towards the creation of the proposed Savannah region.

According to Hon. Mustapha Mahama the central Gonja can only see massive development if Savannah region is created out of the present northern region.

The DCE said this during the inauguration of a fifteen ( 15 ) Referendum district committee members in the central Gonja district of the Savannah region.

He also appealed to residents in the district not to politicize the whole process since the referendum is not going to benefit a political party in the district but rather they residents.

The DCE encouraged the various ethnic groups in central Gonja district to come out in their numbers on the 27th of December 2018 to vote YES for the Savannah region.

                      

on his part the Paramount Chief for Buipe traditional area and also the Vice President for the Gonja traditional council  His Royal Majesty Buipewura Jinapor II  who delivered a speech on behalf of the other traditional areas tasked the youth to go and vote yes them to get the Savannah region.
