THE DCE FOR TOLON SUPPORTS FARMERS IN 22 COMMUNITIES WITH SMALL RUMINANTS.
The District Chief Executive for Tolon in the Northern Region, Honorable
Balkisu Yakubu has presented sheep to some farmers in the District in
collaboration with RING project. She said

The DCE urged the farmers to
take good care of the animals in order to reduce poverty in the area, and to

She thanked RING for
their support, the Chief and his people as well as the farmers. Honorable
Balkisu ended by asking parents to seize the free SHS program as a big
opportunity to educate their children.

Meanwhile the RING Deputy Chief of Party, Mr. Benedict Anamoh gave the
assurance that all 17 implementing MMDAs under the RING project would be
provided the requisite technical assistance to effectively implement the
activities in their work plans to achieve the goals of the project.
He urged the beneficiary households to take good care of the animals to
multiply for them to sell or slaughter for household consumption to improve the
nutritional and income status of their households.
RING is a USAID funded project currently being implemented
in 17 MMDAs in Northern Region.
