Some persons with disability in the northern regional capital Tamale have to go to the street to beg for food and other staff to earn living, this is because the authorities do not pay much attention on people with disability in this country.

Speaking in an interview with communitywatchdoggh, some persons with disability in Tamale STC traffic said,They go on street begging because they do not have anything in their coffers to take care of their families.

They added that, even though they do receive some token from government and other benevolent organization but the disbursement by their leaders is always something else.

However, Mr.Adam Abdul Wahab the PRO for Ghana Federation of persons with Disability (GFDs) said, they have put measures in place to stop people with disability going to the street begging just to earn living.

Adam Abdul Wahab added that, some of them are beaten up and others been noked down by cars which is not encouraging.

Mr.Adam Wahab therefore appeal to the ministry of childern and social protection agency and other benevolent organization to come to their aid to solve this problem of street begging
