C/R The deplorable state of infrastructure at the Akyin Senior High School is affecting effective teaching and learning

The deplorable state of infrastructure at the Akyin Senior High School in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region, is affecting effective teaching and learning.

The school which was built in many years ago, has not seen any major renovation, a situation which is worrying to both teachers and the residents.

Some students in the school, told reporters that the structure is a death trap and has appealed to the government to come to the aid of the school.

According to him, anything can happen if nothing is done about the situation as early as possible.

The Assembly Member for Ekumfi, Arkrah Mbroboto, Erskine Kwabena Ntsiful also urged the Government of Ghana to add Akyin Senior High School to be part of double track system because they have more classrooms to enroll students.

Mr Kwabena Ntsiful continued that, because of poor structure and enrollment of the school, it makes students feel unhappy to come and study there.

He therefore appealed to the Ministry of Education to add Akyin Senior High School as part of Double Track System because they have classrooms to enroll more students.
